Ram Janm Bhoomi, the birth place of Lord Ram, has rather been known for some time for the famous Ayodhya dispute than a place of Hindu pilgrimage.  This is the place where Lord Ram was born and for ages it has been a sacred place for Hindus across the world. Some 2000 years back the then king Vrikamaditya re-established the city of Ayodhya and most of the temples here were restored. Moghal emperor Babar built a mosque here after demolishing the Ram Temple but for over two centuries this place was not used by Muslims and idols of Ram and other Hindu deities were being worshiped here. In 1991 in a hearing in the ongoing trial in the Apex court of India a locked premises in this building was declared open for the worship of Hindus and from then this
