 SARHUL :  A TRIBAL FESTIVAL One of the most popular tribal festivals celebrated across the Jharkhand region, Sarhul festival marks the beginning of New Year. Gangaur  is a festival celebrated in the India state of Rajasthan and some parts of Gujrat, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh Gangaur is colourful and one of the most important festivals of people of Rajasthan and is observed throughout the state with great fervour and devotion by womenfolk who worship Gauri, the wife of Lord Shiva during March–April.   होलिका दहन - पौराणिक कथाएं होली बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत का त्यौहार है। होली में जितना महत्व रंगों का है उतना ही महत्व होलिका दहन का भी है। क्योंकि ये वही दिन होता है जब आप अपनी कोई भी कामना पूरी कर सकते हैं किसी भी बुराई को अग्नि में जलाकर खाक कर सकते हैं। होलिका दहन या होली भारत के उत्तरी भागों में मनाये जाने वाला त्यौहार है। होलिका दहन को हम होली के नाम से भी जानते हैं। जिस दिन होली जलाई जाती है, उसे हम छोटी होली भी कहते हैं। राजा हिर्ण्यकश्यप अहंकार वश स्वयं को ईश्वर मानने लगा. उसकी इच्छा थी की केवल उसी का पूजन किया जाये, लेकिन उसका स्वयं का पुत्र प्रह्लाद भगवान विष्णु का परम भक्त था. पिता के बहुत समझाने के बाद भी जब पुत्र ने श्री विष्णु जी की पूजा करनी बन्द नहीं कि तो हिरण्य़कश्यप ने अपने पुत्र को दण्ड स्वरुप उसे आग में जलाने का आदे़श दिया. इसके लिये राजा नें अपनी बहन होलिका से कहा कि वह प्रह्लाद को जलती हुई आग में लेकार बैठ जाये. क्योकि होलिका को यह वरदान प्राप्त था कि वह आग में नहीं जलेगी. इस आदेश का पालन हुआ, होलिका प्रह्लाद को लेकर आग में बैठ गई. लेकिन आश्चर्य की बात
